What about entertainment?
Even if I am supposedly a techsupport person at work, I am not techie. Good thing my friend Faith taught me how to download movies and stuff using BitTorrent.
The stuff I have downloaded so far are:
Inception -- everyone in Facebook has been raving how good this movie is.
Brainy Baby 123 -- Cecilia's Circle-Ma Time
Toy Story 1 -- Mike said he hasn't seen any Toy Story Movie.
--------
The computer we are using at home is borrowed from my sister Yvette. This is one of her old computers for her Pre-School. We just bought a PCI Sound Card for this from CD-R King: (350php)

Market for three days. I'm not sure if this will work for me, since I am "busy". I (used to) love going to the grocery, buy stuff in convenience -- aircon, grocery ladies who would clean the fish and choose the right beef and pork for you, debit cards and not having to withdraw from the ATM, pushcarts, grocery boys who help you up to the parking area. But let me try this. Starting today. It's 5am now and I'm trying to hype myself to go to the market. Superpalengke is it's name here in Project 8, a few blocks away from where we live. And it's a good morning exercise for me as well.
Also, I quit cooking -- since I'm paying Ate Saydie for it. Haha. Let me go back to cooking when I want to.
1. Ginataang Tilapia
110php 1 kilo small tilapia
25php niyog for gata
10 php pechay
20php luya, bawang sibuyas
It's also nice that you can buy By the Liter Goods in market:
60 php 2 kilos Angelica Rice
75php 1 Liter Cooking Oil

Hello World
This is so that I can track our household expenses and activities, while trying to live on a 20 thousand household monthly budget. I'm not sure if it's possible. Let's see.
Mike and I live with our 2 year old daughter Cecilia in Quezon City. We have a household help/yaya Saydie whose salary is 4,000k monthly. We own a 2004 Honda City, which Mike brings to and from work in Ateneo where he is a professor. I have a salary of sometimes 20,000php or less from working as a Call center agent in Ortigas. I have some other rakets too but I'm not discussing them here.
Let me see if we can pull off living in a 20,000 monthly budget.

Coaching Culture
I said I will resign. But I never did. Maybe because I like its coaching culture. I haven't been with them that long to really see if this culture is just a facade (in the same way government people say they are transparent, honest and that they "work for the people"). Maybe I'm just with the right people that's why I am feeling this. Nonetheless, I like how everyone treats everyone. Generally, of course -- I've met the worst kind of people as well, but I'm not getting into that.
I like how goals and objectives are measured in such an objective manner that even something as subjective as saying something in your own words has its own formula. And even saying sorry. I like that targets are a simple yes or no, and if you're not aligned with this kind of thing, maybe we should let you go. And I was, for the longest time, and perhaps still am one of those who still get a No for so many things. And I like it here because for all the Yes and No's I get, somebody (a boss, a friend, a person from another department, or whoever) will bring it to my attention -- formally by calling me to his desk, casually over yosi breaks, jokingly, and in so many manners. But you get coached everyday. You get to coach someone everyday. I like its coaching culture.
Coaching strikes a balance between reinforcing what is going well, enhancing what needs to be improved and developing people where they are committed to grow. In coaching cultures, people feel part of the larger whole -- they are part of one team.
To all my friends who might have forgotten how it feels like to love what you wake up for each day (or night) because you have been typing "Hi Team" for the longest time, wala lang. I don't intend to write something intelligent here. I just want to let you know that I'm thanking you when you coached me. And I'm still here.

Nung unang December Christmas bonus ko, celphone ang binili ko para sa sarili ko. Minsan lang ako ma-inlive sa mga gamit, at sabi ko itong phone na 'to ang bibilhin ko:
5 years ago na 'yun.
Kaya heto, naghahanap ako ng kapalit ng phone ko. Pero gusto ko may AM radio. At may kaibigan akong sabi nya, may phone raw na may AM radio. Gusto ko yun. Sabi ko.
Bakit AM? E ni hindi ko nga nagagamit yung features ng phone ko na kelan ko lang nalaman. Napaka-techie ko kasi talaga, kung makikilala mo ako.
Ito yung mga pagpipilian ko:
Sony Ericson R3001
Sony Ericson R306i
Sa susunod na sweldo, makabili nga.
